Storytime seeks to foster a life-long love of reading.  Sessions are led by the Assistant Children's Librarian and children attend sessions independently.  Children listen to 4 to 5 stories and then create an artistic project inspired by the readings.
 
Six 4-week Wednesday morning sessions are offered during the year.  Storytimes are approximately 30 minutes in length.
 
Registration for Storytime sessions is required.

Mindfulness meditation is about being in the present moment just as it is, non-judgmentally.  We develop this skill by practicing mindfulness meditation and its variations together, with great compassion toward ourselves. 
 
Wear comfortable clothes.  All practices can be done sitting on a cushion or a chair, standing, or lying down. 
 
Marjatta is a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness, UMass Medical School.
