Description:
Writing Workshop – Open Letters

Come join us as we look at short published pieces and discuss what makes them successful.  Each meeting features a particular theme, with a focus on helping you apply what you learn to whatever style of writing you prefer.

This month we’ll look at writing samples that use the form of
a letter to a specific person.

You will not be required to write or share your own work, but you will have the option to do so in a warm supportive atmosphere at the end of the meeting.

No special knowledge or experience is necessary.  All who enjoy reading and writing are welcome to attend.

Registration required:  Stop by the Reference Desk or call 508.210.5569.

served as the basis for their historical novels,
Kelegeen and Rachel LeMoyne.

First time novelist Eileen O’Finlan weaves a tale of vibrant Meg O’Connor, her family, and friends as their lives are overturned by the 1840s potato blight in her book Kelgeen.

Eileen Charbonneau’s Rachel LeMoyne centers around the Choctaw Nation’s contributions to Irish Famine relief.
