Food For Fines
From February 21st through March 4th, the Library will be offering “Food for Fines,” which allows $1 of overdue fines to be waived in exchange for one donated non-perishable item. Please note that amnesty only applies to overdue fines, not lost or damaged items. All items will be donated to the Wachusett Food Pantry. For more information, please ask at the Circulation Desk.
"Mindful Moment" Meditation Sessions
Feeling stressed? Busy? Are you in need of a "pause"? Join us for 30 minute drop-in meditation sessions on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, from 6:00-6:30PM. These sessions will be led by Holden resident Marjatta Moimas, who specializes in mindfulness based cognitive therapy. Learn techniques that will help you lead a calmer, happier life! Sessions start on Thursday, February 23rd. No registration is necessary.
"Curious about the Craft of Writing?" Workshops
Holden writer and teacher Jennifer Freed returns to the Library to lead a series of writing workshops, the first of which will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at 10:30AM. Those interested in the classes may register for one class, or mutiple classes, and registration for each class will open one month prior to the meeting.
