"History of the Horror Film" program on Thursday, Oct. 20th
If you enjoy horror movies, you must join us on Thursday, October 20th to learn about how the horror film began!  Teacher and movie buff Frank Mandosa will join us over at the Senior Center at 6:00PM to give us the real stories behind famous horror icons like Vincent Price.  He'll share classic film clips and quiz the audience with trivia questions.  Everyone who attends will also be entered to win a movie-themed prize!  This program is generously sponsored by The Friends of the Gale Free Library and no registration is needed.
Writing Workshop on Monday, October 24th
Holden author Jennifer Freed will lead a writing workshop on Monday, October 24th from 10:30AM - noon.  The title of this workshop is "I've Something to Tell You."  Jennifer will explain why writing that uses direct address (an "I" speaking to a "you") can help create effective dialogue and a sense of suspense that helps to draw a reader in to a story.  The workshop is free, but space is limited.  Please call us at 508-210-5569 to reserve your spot.  Please click here for more information about the workshop.
