From the Massachusetts Turnpike:

• Take Exit 10, Auburn. Follow Route 290 East through Worcester to Exit 19, Holden, which puts you on I-190 North.
• From I-190, take Exit 2, Ararat St. At the traffic light, turn left onto Ararat and go through the next traffic light to the T-intersection at Brattle St.
• Turn left onto Brattle. Cross the train tracks, then immediately turn right onto Holden St.
• Follow Holden St. 1.4 miles to the traffic light, which is just past the Holden Municipal Light Department building. Turn left onto Shrewsbury St.
• Go west on Shrewsbury St. At the traffic light, bear right onto Route 122A, Main St.
• Stay on 122A to the intersection with Route 31, about 1.8 miles. Turn right at the intersection onto Rte 31 North. The Gale Free Library is the first driveway on the left.

From Route 2:

• Take the exit for I-190, Worcester.
• From I-190, take Exit 3, West Mountain St. Turn right. (West Mountain St. becomes Doyle Rd. in Holden.) Continue to the light and turn left onto Shrewsbury St.
• Go west on Shrewsbury St. to the intersection with Route 122A, Main St. Bear right onto Route 122A, Main Street.
• Stay on 122A to the intersection with Route 31, about 1.8 miles. Turn right at the intersection onto Rte. 31 North. The Gale Free Library is the first driveway on the left.
